I have spent hours and hours working with Hermes Agent and when I finally felt that I had gotten the hang of it, it broke. It’s great that it is very open and capable, but when most of your effort goes into setting things up or fixing stuff that breaks unintentionally then it is not a useable tool.
So after a lot of soul-searching I decided I needed to build an agent from scratch. It should be easy to install, with a default small local model that always gives you an answer and that can fix what you need without annoying errors. An advanced long-term memory that just works, and a simple to understand user interface. It’s all in the making right now, and if it’s even slightly better than Hermes I will make it available on github soon.
Agents are the future, but most are not ready for use as of now. But this might be it…
